Learning to Teach With Technology

Experiencing technology for the first time!

About Me

My name is Denise. I am a 25 year old, 3rd time around student at Marymount University. I am in the Master of Education-Elementary Education cohort through Fairfax County. I currently have a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Radford University in which I graduated in 2011. I have been an SLP for the past 2 years. I worked in an elementary school for a year and realized that I absolutely loved the spirit of those kids. I wanted to expand on my passion of working with kids and move into the classroom setting of a regular education class. I found that as an SLP, I wanted to go further in what I teach my kids, including subjects like literacy, science, math, etc. I am interested in teaching kindergarten and I really have a passion for literacy in the classroom. I am hoping that I can use my skills as an SLP when teaching kids how to read. I am taking ED 554 to learn how to incorporate technology into the classroom. Join me in my adventures in creating technologically savvy lesson plans and blog posts for my class.
